Dr. Paz Kahana, President and CEO
Dr. Kahana brings to CharacTell years of experience of management with Siemens, Xionics Document Technologies, Inc., Sun Microsystems and Wang Laboratories. He founded the US subsidiary of Israel-based Top Image Systems (TiS, NASDAQ) in Burlington, Massachusetts in the early 1990's. Dr. Kahana is a published author and a recognized industry leader. He has been invited to speak to industry forums, and elected a member in leadership committees (EmTAG, the AIIM Emerging Technologies Advisory Group; TAWPI Industry Leadership Council). Dr. Kahana attended the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Graduate School of Sciences, and the Boston College School of Management.

Ofer Comay, VP Research & Development, Co-Founder
Ofer Comay is a skilled mathematician with over 13 years of experience in developing award-winning character recognition technology for the forms processing industry. In 1975, Ofer won First Place in the prestigious Mathematical Olympiad for Youth in Israel, and is a three-time world champion in chess problem solving (1980, 1985 and 1999). Before founding CharacTell, Ofer was vice president of R&D at Top Image Systems (TISA, NASDAQ) for nine years. His team developed the company's main product, which was awarded AIIM and IMC best of show and best product by Imaging Solutions magazine. Ofer holds an M.Sc. degree in mathematics from Tel-Aviv University.

Dr. Eliyahu Comay, Chief Scientist, Co-Founder
Dr. Comay is a physicist who has published over 60 papers in the field of General and Nuclear Physics. Before founding CharacTell, Dr. Comay was a physicist, working at Tel Aviv University. Some of his works contain distinguished discoveries in classical physics and quantum mechanics (see web site). Dr. Comay is an expert in key mathematical fields that are directly relevant to the core algorithms and foundation of ACR, and this expertise has directly and significantly contributed to the fundamental concept and subsequent development of ACR. Dr. Comay holds a Ph.D. in nuclear physics from Tel-Aviv University.

Oded Kahana, CFO
Oded has over twenty years of experience in management and as finance of large organizations (as large as NIS 2 billion in revenues), multi-national industrialized companies, and even start-ups, in a wide variety of fields and industries: high-tech (as an entrepreneur and a partner), insurance, technology, and the governmental sector. Prior to joining CharacTell, Oded served as the Vice President, Finance at the Israel Postal Authority, where he was the executive in charge of all finances, and the Finance Department that was comprised of a staff of nearly 80. At the IPA, Oded was instrumental in preparing the Israel Postal Authority for privatization.

David Golomb, Director
David Golomb has over 27 years of business experience. David is Chairman of the Licensing Advisory Committee for Bank of Israel. For over two decades, Mr. Golomb served in key executive positions at Koor Industries Inc., Israel's leading, multi-billion dollar investment-holding vehicle, with substantial stakes in Israel's top export companies. Koor Industries owns controlling stakes in Israel's main defense electronics and agrochemical companies, and invests in telecommunications. Mr. Golomb was a member of the Knesset, Israel's parliament, from 1968 to 1969 and 1977 to 1981.

Peter Santeusanio, Director
US-based Peter Santeusanio brings to the CharacTell board over twenty years of experience as an engineer, executive, entrepreneur, and a venture capitalist. A graduate of the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of technology with a degree in electrical engineering, Mr. Santeusanio has managed engineering for Solvation and Microcom, and served as CEO for Xionics Document Technologies. Peter Santeusanio has founded or co-founded: BizPhone, R3 Media, Silicon Vision and Modular Robotics. Mr. Santeusanio was a partner with the Boston-based venture capital firm of Hambro International.
